The Kolping House lies in the pedestrial precinct of the historical town centre in front of the new main building of the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano. In a two-minutes' walk you reach the Waltherplatz, one of the main places of our town where each year in December the very popular Christmas Market is held.

 

 

 

Even galleries and museums can be reached easily in a few minutes' walk. The most important one is certainly the Archeological Museum, where you can meet "Ötzi", the world famous Iceman who was found in the region of the Similaun glacier where he must have lived 5300 years ago.

 

You will find wonderfully fresh fruit and vegetables on the Obstmarkt, a famous fruit market. The Lauben, an old double gallery with nice arcades are very inviting with their elegant shops.

You can do daily excursions to Trauttmansdorff Castle with its wonderful botanic garden near Meran or to the Lake of Garda. You shouldn't miss the Dolomite tours with their panoramic views on the mountains.
